Hi. This is a Yasso 800's update.
First of all: Bart I am sorry!
After getting that little damage control out of the way let me tell you a very amusing story.
Yesterday I posted about trying the Yasso 800's for the first time. It turns out I finished running 800 meters at around 9 minutes which meant I would run a marathon in 9 hours!!? It made me wonder how I had gotten so out of shape so fast and it made me kind of...doubt Yasso -Again, as I said I am sorry Bart-
Sometime late at night I received a question from a friend who happens to read the blog. She had some doubts about the number of laps and distance because it turns out the track -she stated- is 400 meters long.
I had to laugh out loud. On saturday I did not run Yasso 800's I ran Ruth 1600's!!!!!!!! Apparently I outgrew the master and came up with a whole new interval workout.
I called my friend -Linda, I'm sorry but I just had to wake you up- and I told her about the double lap thing. It took her a while to come out of her amazement but then we couldn't stop laughing. I mean...unbelievable.
But hey! We can only get great things out of this little confusion. First of all I am nowhere near running a 9 hour marathon. According to Yasso I am in the 4h30 marathon shape. Second, my friend and I have another funny story to tell. We can finally move on from the wall story. Now we have the 1600 meters story!
When I told Heinz he said he thought the track was too big to be just 200 meters but he trusted my knowledge. I don't even know where I got the 200 meters information from!!!! How could I not know this until today?
Such valuable information.
But moving on to today's subject. I had not realized that I almost never -or just never- share snack recipes!
I recently found at the supermarket a no added sugar jam. By sugar free I don't mean artificially sweetened. I was kind of reluctant to try it because I thought it would turn out to be sour. But then I read it said "made in Germany" So far any product that comes from Germany have turned out to be great. Heinz included.
Long story short: I bought the jam. It was raspberry by the way.
The first time I decided to try it I used for an afternoon snack. That is when I realize I don't post about my mid-day foods.
There is always a first times so here is what I used:
- 1 pear
- 1 low fat natural yogurt
- A couple of spoons of raspberry jam
It turns out that jam made in Germany is not sour at all. This afternoon delight is a keeper.
Let me know if would you like to see more quick, easy & colorful snack ideas!
