Here are some of the most frequently asked questions. And some others I would like to ask me if I was you.

 

This Heinz dude? What is up with him?

I keep bringing him up in almost every post. You may have seen a picture of him here and -a headless one- there. To unveil the mystery Heinz is my husband. We have been married for almost six years and long story short he is the love of my life.

We got married really young. I was crazy about him then and I am still crazy about him now.

He is half german and half salvadorean and he is one of my greatest supporters except when it comes to funny looking food. He can be a little picky but I've managed to score a few Heinz approved meals.

 

Is he a runner too?

No, he is into surfing.

 

If I live in El Salvador shouldn't I be speaking writing in spanish?

Yes but no. Spanish is my first language and I do communicate in Spanish with everyone here! but when it comes to this blog my main concern is sharing what I write with as many as possible. That is why english seems more appropriate. So far it has worked.

 

Is it safe to live in El Salvador?

Mostly yes. The news about my country are not always so encouraging. It is no secret that we have a violence problem and I want to say it is closely related to gangs but the truth is this problem is not exclusive to them.

El Salvador is a beautiful country and is definitely tourist friendly. You just have to take some safety precautions. Asking around will be enough (where to go, how to get there, what to avoid, etc). We have many tourists that come specially to our beaches. We have some great waves that are worth the trip. If you are interested in visiting feel free to ask me anything about this place I call home.

 

How do you come up with all the recipes? do you always eat so delicious looking food?

Every once in a while I do some research. I keep magazine clippings and lists of things I want to try so I can't take full credit. Inspiration is everywhere! If I try something  I see in another blog or twitch and twist a friend´s recipe I will always try to link it to the original source. I've even credited Heinz. He came up with this blog's most popular recipe 

As for my daily meals...they are not always so delish. I only post a recipe if it turned out good and if I think it's worth sharing. However  I have been considering posting more -what I eat in a day- pictures. We'll see how that evolves.

What camera do you use?

I use a Canon EOS 60D. It's pretty cool and it's a loan from Heinz. The camera is actually his but he doesn't mind me using it as long as I don't lose the lens cap.

 

What else are you into besides running and yoga?

Well now that you ask...I am into good coffee -no sugar please-, taking an embarrassing amount of time reading a good book and french bulldogs. I love them. I can't get enough of them. If you have one keep that dog away from me or I'll steal adopt it!
