A short while ago I mentioned that I would be getting my yoga teacher certification this year and as the date approaches it is time for me to share more about the training.
I will be attending the Nosara Yoga Institute. The program starts november 4th and ends december 1st.
Heinz and I went to Nosara last year.
I think it's safe to say that our trip to Nosara has been the most relaxing one ever.
Nosara is a little beach town in the province of Guanacaste, Costa Rica. We have direct flights from San Salvador to Liberia airport which take little less than two hours. Once in Liberia you take a taxi or shuttle to Nosara. Most hotels will set you up with transportation.
Heinz and I stayed at the Harmony Hotel. Where do I start with the Harmony....it's an eco-friendly, nature oriented hotel that has absolutely everything well thought for a enjoyable perfect stay. From the complementary organic shampoo and conditioner to the non chemically treated pool everything you get from this hotel is meant to nurture your soul and your body.
Nosara's little dusty roads will only take you to get some surf or yoga done. The perfect Heinz & Ruth combination but I understand that this place may not be for the average tourist. You wont find a McDonald's or an all inclusive resort here but if you are looking for a quiet, quality time, either family or couple's vacation...this is your place.
The biggest feature is nature. No doubt about that. To get to the beach you have to walk through green beach paths that make you feel as if you are an explorer. These paths are protected areas where nothing can be built.
The beach is a surfer's paradise and a yogi's retreat. With the soul of a deserted beach you may feel isolated yet at home in Nosara. It treats you as if you belong there. Nowhere else.
We obviously fell in love with Nosara and when the opportunity of getting my yoga teacher certification became more tangible the Nosara Yoga Institute became my number one option. Not only because of its location but because of its excellent reputation and my experience while I was there last year.
I took a couple of classes at the Institute and even talked a little with the teacher. I mentioned that I wanted to get my certification and she talked to me about her experience getting her certification there. She was extremely happy with their approach and methods so of course that only encouraged me more to take the Institute into consideration.
I am beyond excited although I somehow feel it is still so far away. I will be leaving november 2nd which is less than a month away. I have my accommodations set up and of course I will be sharing the whole experience here.
I plan on writing about my challenges, accomplishments, diet and exercises but let me know if there is something specific you would want me to share with you. Just leave a comment or shoot me an email.
I'll be more than happy to share.
